Pull request
A request to merge a branch, where the change is reviewed, discussed and checked before it joins the main branch.
Most teams use trunk-based development:
mainis always deployable, and each change lives on a short-lived branch, a day or two, merged through a pull request. Unfinished features hide behind feature flags, not long-running branches.
