Percentage point
The plain difference between two percentages. Going from 4% to 5% is a rise of one percentage point, which is a 25% increase.

- fraction: A part of a whole, written as one number over another. 3/4 means 3 out of 4 equal parts, which is 0.75.
- percentage: A share written out of 100: 25% means 25 out of every 100, which is 0.25.
- ratio: A comparison of two amounts, such as 2 : 1. Keeping the ratio the same lets you scale a recipe or a mix up or down.
